THE NEAR HORIZON

The future, one plausible decision away.

Concept development · Working titles · Not yet scheduled

THE NEAR HORIZON is a planned J.M. Burke line of near-future fiction built from technologies, institutions, incentives, and decision systems that already exist.

The stories are intended to feel less like distant science fiction than a plausible version of next year: recognizable organizations confronting consequences that arrive faster than policy, governance, and human judgment can adapt.

Series promise

The future, one plausible decision away.

Near-future fiction in which the machinery already exists and only the consequences are new.
