Twelve Minutes is a working A.L. Mercer concept for FIRST SIGNAL.

An interstellar object enters the solar system, alters its trajectory for twelve minutes, and then resumes a path that will carry it permanently away from Earth. Nothing lands. Nothing attacks. The course change alone proves that something made a decision.
