Operation Revival is the working first volume of Thomas Vale’s THE FORGOTTEN MISSIONS.

The planned narrative history follows the May 1945 effort to evacuate nearly 8,500 Allied prisoners of war from Stalag Luft I at Barth, Germany, using stripped-down bombers and transport aircraft in the unsettled days after the camp’s liberation.

The project is in historical research and writing and is not yet scheduled for publication.
